We're Expecting!

Well, as some of you may already know, Jon and I are expecting our first child!  We're very excited.  We've decided since we have family and friends both near and far, that starting a blog to allow them to watch the progression of the pregnancy, as well as the child, would be a great idea.  So here we are!

Now I'll catch you up to where I am now.  I'm 15 weeks along and the due date is for September 19th.  I've had two doctor's visits and one ultrasound so far, and everything is going well.  During the first trimester I feel like I was really lucky.  I did have "morning sickness", but it was more like all day, for 6 weeks straight queasiness, but I did not have to throw up once.  So, all in all, it wasn't too bad.  I am feeling better now.  I have less of the queasiness and most food is starting to sound good to me again.  I think I have a little more energy then in the first trimester, but I still am more tired than usual.  The next OB visit is in 2 1/2 weeks and in 3 1/2 weeks we have our second ultrasound.  I will be 18 1/2 weeks along by then and we should be able to find out the sex of our baby, as long as he or she cooperates.  And yes, we're finding out what we're having, I mean, have you ever met me before.  I'm what you would call a "planner".

I guess that about catches everyone up to what has been going on in our lives.  The first ultrasound pictures of our little peanut are shown up above.  But a side profile of me will have to wait.  I'm not really showing yet, I'm just getting to the point where my pants are noticeably tighter, but I don't look pregnant, I just look like I've put on a few pounds!  Oh well, it's all part of the beauty of pregnancy, right?
